Randy,
Thanks for the big welcome! The beginning of my experiment is relatively the same - flipping virtual real estate. I want to buy, develop, and sell domain names and complete sites. I know poker well enough so I chose it as my first exploit. I also enjoy it as a recreational hobby, which I think is necessary to set up any venture one plans to stick to for any length of time.
As far as the financial aspects of this project, I'm still formulating the specifics, but my goal is to earn 10% per week on my money for two years. If I start with $20, in two years (104 weeks) I'll have about $400,000 in the bank. This encourages me to be creative and take small steps toward my goals. I usually take big leaps and fall on my face because I didn't want to calm down and think about the tiny goals I should have set (which quickly become obstacles) in the way.
It's easy enough to turn $20 into $22, but what about $366,839.90 into 403523.89? That's a required $36,683.99 profit in one week. Talk about creativity.
