Default hours

I have a question especially for Randy, others may answer too, and I hoped it was not asked recently.

The problem is, I feel like I have a mountain of things I want to do, but I achieved too little daily. On the other hand Randy seems to be the opposite.

How many hours do you work every day??

For me, maybe 12...I know it is not a lot, but I have a 18 months toddler running around a lot.

Man, when my kids were younger, I didn't have time to get anything done. One of the more inspirational things I ever read about time management was Steve Pavlina's article about how he graduated from college in just 3 semesters. It's not for everyone, but it sure made me realize how much someone CAN possibly get done given a period of time, if they're focused.

For the most part, I try to single task. I don't try to do multiple things at one time. If I'm writing an article, I turn off all the instant messaging software. If I'm chatting with one person, I do my best to not check emails at the same time. Then when I'm finished, I move on to the next thing.

It's interesting you brought this up, because I'd been thinking about posting on the blog about time management. Maybe I'll do a week's worth of time management posts after my link building posts next week.

Buy a whiteboard and put it close to your computer. It will help you for sure. I know it sounds like a small thing, but it will help to see everything you are supposed to do.
