I am trying to make a list of the top Poker and Casino Programs to promote, it will help me and also all new Poker and Casino Affiliates

Poker
1. Party Poker- Thanks to their offline promos and TV coverage one of the easiest to convert.
2.Poker Stars- Only CPA option makes it a bit of a bummer but looking at Jeremy's and other Poker players comments probably the No. 1 site in terms of player experience and interface quality
3.Noble Poker/Poker Room/Absolute/ Paradise- i have no idea on who is good so would appreciate your comments

Casinos:
1. 888- Biggest in the business and i presume they also have the best Casino Affiliate Program again no experience
2. and 3. need your recommendations

poker
]It really depends on your target group. Most experienced poker players have accounts on all established pokersites, and the only way to attract them is either rakeback - or new sites (with bad players)

If you are targeting beginners you should go for the most established brands - your list looks ok to me - except the pokerstars (CPA) deal.

casino
2 Inter Casino
3 and one of the microgaming (ex 32red)

I do not promote Pokerstars for the very reason that you stated. Alot of players consider it to be the best interface/support/tournaments. Why would I not promote the best overall poker room? It's quite simple. Yes, you do get compensated through a CPA plan, but once you send players to Stars many of them will do most if not all of their play there. That leads to lots of lost revenue from your other MGR rooms.

This is an issue that I have always struggled with. Do I provide my customers with information on the best card room even though I cannot make much money from that site? Will they find Pokerstars anyway? If so, shouldnt I be the one to get the CPA rather than letting them find it elsewhere?

I have come to the conclusion that I will not promote Stars. I can provide my customers with good sites that meet their needs and also make me money. Yes, some will find Stars anyway, but maybe later rather than sooner. The likelihood of them staying at a site I promoted is better the longer they play at said site.

Well said PreNut

I couldn't agree more. Unless your business model is all CPA ( which I think would be a big mistake) or most all of your players are very low limit players. I think it is a complete waste of time and money to Promote PokerStars.

You could make more in one month off of an average recreational player under the % of MGR option than the 1 time lousy cpa payment from PokerStars. Everything after the 1st month is icing on the cake

Not sending players to the best rooms is a doomed strategy and means you will always be sending a high percentage to the weakling rooms, which of course is foolish if you do MGR because players don't stick as well.

Prenut's philosophy is very shortsighted in my opinion. You WANT players to stick at the best rooms. You WANT the best rooms -- the biggest, the richest, the real industry players -- to see your players as valuable, solid, strong players. You don't want (as much as possible) bonus whors, rakeback hounds and others who are not really genuine poker players for the cardrooms but those trying to manipulate a few bucks out of various promotions.

In Pokerstars case, they have one of the best CPA deals in the industry -- if you produce. Their top payment of $300 is the highest genuine amount I know about. (I know of one room that offered higher but it was a bait and switch, garbage deal.)

Unfortunately too many affiliates aim much too low and have the patience of a three year old. Partner with the best. Give them your best. And then get appreciated by the best. You aren't going to get treated well unless you perform well.
