I do try to stick to just one room when promoting offline though. by: Checkingout
I found this to an interesting statement and of course it brings me to ask about it.

When you guys have a site that's full of info, news, STRATEGIES, etc.. and of course Poker Room Bonuses and such..

So basically our goal is to bring the traffic in with CONTENT in hopes that they will also like our rooms/bonuses and sign up.

So now the question:

When you guys are promoting your site (which has mutiple rooms on it) OFFLINE, are you promoting just ONE poker room or are you promoting your SITE?

I think it varies. If your offline promotion includes CD's then you are just going to be promoting that one room. However if your site is a niche site to one area or college campus, then you would be better off to promote the entire site and let individuals enjoy all your content and make their own decision.

One example where I would just promote one room is if I am sponsoring a $10 tourney just for my list of local players and buddies in the area. I'll usually make a flier and distribute it to everyone I know and post it all over the place. Instead of a bonus code I always just register a domain name that has something to do with my tourney and either build a splash page or have it forwarded right to the site.

Private tournies are a great way to bring on new players to a site when promoting offline, or even online for that matter.

Interesting stuff there. I would of not thought of getting another domain just to promote a private tourney.

In your opinion what are the positives of doing that? and what are the negatives of not doing that?

On the hand..I'm not geared at this momment on private tournies..although it is on my to do list, especially when PokerRoom rolls theirs out.

Before finding this forum..I would just promote one site (Pacifc Poker) but now I have started to promote more than one site. Pacific, Party, PokerRoom and Tilt.

What I wanted to do was to promote my site.

Focusing on the Texas Holdem Tips mainly and then breifly throw in something about our current promotions at either certain rooms or just in general.

Just not 100% sure what do to.

I know that I'm going to make up some bus. cards geared toward our site and get them out this week.

Thanks for the info...
