So you can prolong paying taxes or paying a certain bracket by keeping your money in netteller until after the 1st of Jan?

Say you were on the brink of an increase percentage

Like say you made $50k so far. You have $30k in netteller and the % jump in taxes is at $70k and you want to stay in the 25% bracket instead of the 28% bracket. Can you just keep it in neteller til after the first thus prolonging the taxes in case next year really sucks?

Thanks

No.

Ask an accountant if you want but income doesn't become "income" once you transfer it from some account to another. Your money in Neteller is your money and you owe taxes on whatever part of it you earned during the year.

Pretty heavy rake you taxpayers are faced with.

Guess not everyone wants to do so but my country is hella cold so I emigrated a few years ago, that certainly helps with the tax issue.

Take into account the government cannot see whats in your Neteller account, and won't see it until it hits your bank account

First of all, there's no magic number that when you go over it you're suddenly in a new tax bracket.

Secondly, you're either going to pay taxes on that money this year or next year (or you're going to not report the income at all).

Save yourself some potential future issues, grow up and pay your damn taxes.

i dont beleive any govt can access your neteller records as they are an overseas company especially where i live, Get your self the neteller debit card and just withdraw what you wish from an atm. instead of transferring it to your bank account. As in my country gambling online and promoting online gambling is illegal so i dont know if listing illegal income on your taxes is a good idea either

I AM NOT A TAX PROFESSIONAL

Doing things to avoid paying taxes is a whole different issue.

i use the debit card, you can use an atm for up to 400$ a day, Buy you can also use it as a debit card with no limit. It is the same account but a seperate section. you have to transfer your $4 from the neteller account ot he neteller debit account it is instant and costs $2 every time, so once a month i transfer everything from neteller to neteller debit then withdraw it in $400 incrimints because there is a $1.25 fee for every atm use from neteller.
