another question about search engines

Okay full of questions today I guess. In some other posts, affiliates have said they get "alot of hits" off a certain keyword. How do you control what keywords are getting you hits and what not?? Are you guys using adwords and stuff like that? Instructions on how to do this would be great.

in short this is what you will need to be a success in the search engines.

1. create your website with content on it.
2. have lots of pagerank 3+ domains linking to you with your keyword in the text link to you.

Example.

You would like your website in top for the keyword: "Online poker bonus"

You then contact lots of websites requesting to link to you with the following info:

Textlink: Online Poker Bonus (linking to your site)
Description: The best online poker bonus website. New bonuses added daily.

***

This is how it in short works.... sounds easy right??? Well think again you will need 100's of links... !

Okay and who are these "lots of websites" that I submit to for links??? Is it free to do this? Are you saying I need to submit to domains that already have a page rank of 3 or higher and get my link on them??? If so my question remains how do i approach this....thanks for the help so far though!
