hi all

I've got another private freeroll tournie fixed up (now a busy month) at pacific poker at the end of the month

the registering etc is very old school - 48hrs notice etc but they have also told me that they dont sort out paying out prize money to players ??

apparently they will email me the results then its up to me to sort it - how does everyone else sort this out ??

can you do inter account transfers if i deposit into my player account ? what is the easiest way to sort this - they havent got back to me yet.

cheers scrawnybob

ps - I need some bums on seats for a buyin tournie this sunday at pokerroom etc - check out the spam forum if you can help me out - cheers

yep they've just sorted it out again apparently - although its well manual - which is a pain

I like it when you dont have to keep checking emails etc - but they want it on excel no passwords etc

and the list has got to be with them 48hrs before - so upside is less freeroll hunters downside is its a pain

they've been nice but I dont think its a very good system - especially as they've now told me they cant payout the prize money - which just seems mad

I was hoping someone had figured a way to do it - so far they havent got back to me today

i've run a couple of freerolls at pacific, and they have been the best room for me to host freerolls so far.

my experience was that they pay the players at the end of the tourney, and pull the funds out of my aff account. i wasn't responsible for paying anyone but the room.

the player roster only sounds like an ass pain, in the end it shields you from last minute freerollHounds, and by submitting a player roster they have a system where only the players on the roster can register. then it's up to the player to actually register on tourney night.

other rooms preregister players automatically, and then if someone gets called to work or forgets about it or whatever, you have an empty chair sitting there in your tournament. i Hate those. that's not real poker.

in the end the roster is a small price to pay for running a clean tourney filled with humans.

What if you could do private tournies that were neither manually submitted or password protected.

For example only people that registered through your affiliate link would be able to see "your" private tourney in the lobby. This would eliminate people begging for passwords or the abuse of passwords getting passed around in the freeroll whore community.

Likewise it wouldn't be as much of a hassle as it is to manually submit. Especially if you are funding prize poo, this would ensure that 100% of the people playing were your players. Any thoughts on this concept.

This is currently how Celeb Poker does private freerolls.

Removes alot of the head aches for sure.

Pacific have got back to me

well affiliates at random-logic.com - they're saying

"I don't know how they send them the funds. I guess each affiliate and his methods"

which seems a bit odd - they also can't find my aff user name anymore

I had one sign-up last month on CPA (which is ok as I haven't even been pushing them at all) but this money looks like its already left my aff account and is being sent to me - I was hoping to get the freeroll against this - which is what I've previously done if i'm funding it rather than the site.

Mongoose - how did you get them to sort payout ? UB drew the funding from my players account and paid out - this seems a bit wierd that they dont know and dont seem to want to be helpful anymore - they're not coming up with any options at all - and its not like I'm going to send cheques for $1.5 to people - this is strange
