A question for all and Jeremy of course.

How much value is there in your book now the forum discusses so many affiliate issues openly?

Honest opinions on whether it is worth it for a new affiliate please.

thanks in advance

I would suggest you buy regardless. It is a great help for anyone. After reading it, you can then ask more in detail questions instead of the "Im new to this..." questions.

It will be worth the money I guarantee that

Jeremy says that his book is out of date, and a lot of changes should be made and things should be re-written... Not saying it is not a good idea to buy anyway because he is very smart and knows a ton about this business... but I have heard Jeremy say this before.

It is pretty outdated from some promotions I did in 2004 mostly. As fast as the industry changes you have to constantly be changing with it. Nonetheless for someone just getting started it can give you some pretty good ideas and get you thinking outside the box.

thanks for the copy jeremy, I will definitely read it in my free time! maybe you could write a new e-book that is more current and sell that one. I am sure you would have a lot of interested buyers here on this forum.

No problem, back when I got started this industry was sooooo much easier to make money. The big rooms were not yet saturated and poker was just starting to explode. Likewise ppc advertising was still available at google and poker sites accepted paypal. It was like a dream come true.

Now days you really either have to have a good niche, lots of marketing dollars, or SEO savvy to become a super affiliate. You still CAN start with nothing and be making a nice income in a short amount of time. It does require a lot of hard work, dedication, and having the foresight to try things that the other 50,000 poker affiliates are not already doing.

Jeremy's ebook has the virtue of being original and helpful, especially in a time when there are countless high-priced ebooks being shilled that are completely full of publicly available information that isn't particularly good to begin with. IMO, it's still well worth the retail price, and kudos to Jeremy for giving away the occasional free copy.

I agree.

I have spent little on advertising and now am showing up 1 -5 on some pretty decent poker keywords. My plan is to build a content rich site and get user's back one by one, who really enjoy my content. Then slowly build from word of mouth. I am also thinking of using most my dec / jan revenue on advertising.

It's interesting, but the more I do this, the more I realize that it's really a pretty simple process. Build content, arrange it logically, and then get people to talk about your content and link to it. Repeat that over and over again, and you'll make money. Most people make the mistake of doing one of the two steps in a thoughtless or careless manner, and then they don't see the kinds of returns they expect.

Build good content, link to good websites that will be useful to your visitors, and get other good websites to link to you.
