Hello, I am a new poker affiliate along with boarderman23 and we are looking into getting into some offline promotion. First of all, I want to thank you guys for the brainstorming sticky, that topic is immensly helpful. Now, I read in there that you cannot solicit outside of casinos, and the example was handing out flyers outside of the casino doors. However, could you go through a casino parking lot and put flyers on cars without getting in trouble? Boarderman and I live about 20 minutes from a fairly large casino that has poker, and are considering this idea. Any information or experiences on doing this will be greatly appreciated.

Hey man,
Welcome to the community, I have put business cards/flyers on cars at the local casino which only has slots, and horse racing. I would say I out of the two times I did it I covered 350 cars, resulting in only 2 play money accounts. Also, I think I would consider my self lucky because I have talked to other people that have done this and security told them to F#$K off...
In your situation I think it might be worth a shot, it doesn't take very long at all to do, maybe 20-25 mins per 100 cars, and your casino as you mentioned has poker and is fairly large. When I did my campagne I promted Party, which I think most people have heard of, maybe try promoting a smaller room that is new and on the rise, such as Stacks.
Let us know how you make out, and good luck!

Ok, thanks for your post. I'm also considering starting to promote Party Casino (I haven't researches this at all so I'm not sure yet), and since 90% of the players at this casino aren't poker players, I think if I put Party Casino flyers on the cars, and also mentioned poker and my site, it would be a much higher turnover. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

We're going to go ahead with this, along with a few other offline promotion ideas we have. I'll report back with some results as we're progressing with it.

Depending on where you live, there might also be laws against putting flyers under windows.
And from the casino's point of view, if anyone's going to be allowed to advertise on the cars in their parking lot, it should be them.

I think it's a dumb idea - people running around parking lots at night are small fish big time. Concentrate on making good websites with fresh content and building links, this isn't a two week job.

Ok, I'll take your advice seeing as how you guys definitely know more than I do. We do have a website that we're working on...we were just thinking of trying some of the offline promotion in the sticky.

the point is, casinos are gonna be pissed off at you because they will get complaints from people at the casino. And it is easy as hell to track you back down through your bonus code. and that's if security doesnt come nab you after they see two punks running around the lot on the security cameras

No I understand what you're saying, I just didn't really think it through before I posted. I've got something better (and less troublesome) that I'm thinking of doing. If I do I'll post my results.
