Gentlemen,

After reading lots of posts on this forum and looking up various aspects of Poker (both on this website and elsewhere) I came up with a couple of ideas which I would like to share with you.

I believe one of the major success factors of poker affliates is the ability to think outside of the box. I know I am not saying anything new with this because it has been regulary mentioned throughout this website and elsewhere.

But the 'brainstorimg' which I've done lately made me realise that I can't really do this business alone, simply because I do not have enough poker knowledge. On the other hand I believe to have other skills which help me in being successfull in this venture. I have been building websites since 2001 and have made a couple of international authorative websites including their logos and designs. I also consider myself as someone who is business oriented and have quite good marketing skills.

I realised that inorder to have a proper and ongoing income from poker players you have to build up some sort of a loyal community. I came up with a good idea to achieve this but unfortunately I do not have the a) Knowledge B ) Funds to implement it so I'm going to share it with you. Lately there has been a huge increase in participation of Role-playing Text-based Online Games. Myself I used to play a game called omerta where online players became gangsters. It was quite fun and the number of people playing was around 20,000 so people where split into families and so on. The game mainly consisted of earning reputation and money. Most of the money 'earned' was done doing criminal activities while they had a casino section where people gamble their virtual money in hope to make more money. I have to say that the casino section was always full so this brings me to the subject. Imagine how much money would you make if you own a role-playing game of poker/gambling where players can taste there fantasy of doing full-time poker with fake money. I guess you are intelligent enough to understand how you can make good money out of this so I won't explain.

Apart from that I do have another couple of innovative ideas (which are easier to achieve) which I want to work on.

Now, I would like to know if there's someone in this forum to be some sort of a mentor or partner (call him whatever you want) who can give me some tips on the legal issues and maybe create some sort of partnership.

My greed instincts are telling me to go alone because I'm sure that i'll make more money that way but my business mind keeps telling me to find someone experienced and share the revenue i might have.

Regards,

Steven Cachia

I have always thought the online gaming world was a good one to attack. After all, most of the people that play games like world of warcraft, or everquest, or whatever it may be, are usually fairly intelligent and have the poker mind. A ton of poker players are just huge nerds(or an upcoming front of college jocks), and online gamers usually are the same. Hate to generalize, but everyone knows its true and I fall right into this category.

I think its a good group of people to market to. They might be so wrapped up in the game though, that they never take the time to check out poker.

Your idea is solid as well.

As a fan of online roleplaying and poker I think it's a great idea. I came across this one surfing around 6 months ago: http://www.lastcallpoker.com
