What type of site are you looking to sell?

I sell at least a few sites every month but never go through a broker.
List it on related forums that allow it.

One of the advantages to participating in a forum like this one is that you tend to get to know people who might be interested in buying websites. Industry specific forums are a great place for contacts like this.

I've never used a broker, although I've bought and sold websites. I've always done business with people in the industry I knew.

i was thinking of selling one of my sites, i guess what im asking is how to go about it, i have done some research and there are website apraisers out there. the site in question is a poker site, im not even sure if i want to sell it, its just a thought, i make about $2800-$3500 a month off of it, but if i got a good price for it i could better utilize the money into new projects and sites, than just making enough money to support my lavish lifestyle off of it!

If you've got a steady income like that, why not see about getting a low interest loan for your future ideas and keep the steady income flowing with the site?? Good luck!

I know many people whom sell on the sitepoint.com forums. You could also just post here and at other gambling affiliate sites and I'm sure you will receive some interest. Are you confused at what price to sell it at?

Im still in the process of selling my site now. Needless to say it has been quite a long process. I was contacted about a month and a half ago by an interested buyer and we have spent a long time working out the legistics of the contract etc. I am happy to report that money has been sent to escrow this morning! I have never actually transfered the rights of a domain name over to somebody before. So I am not exactly sure the steps that need to be taken to do this. Randy, or anyone else with experience with this, could you please comment? I am assuming escrow.com will let me know what to do, but i could be wrong.
