anyone familiar with dreamweaver

I am trying to create a template in dreamweaver and am having trouble.

I have the template created and have pages saved that I created from that template.

now when I make changes to the template in the editable regions they are not being made to the pages that were created from the template.

Anyone know what i'm doing wrong here?

make a page and make it a template and when you edit the page "save it as " something

Go through these steps and you should find a mistake you may have made.

When you make templetes in dw for the first time and you update the file it will ask you if you want to apply the changes to the saved templete files. If you for any reason you checked boxed certain files they will not apply the changes to those files until you re-associate those files to the templete master. Hope this helps

Working with DW templates is nice once you get the hang of it. First, create your template and save it as a template. DW will put it in a template folder with an extension of .dwt. When you want to create a page from that template you have to click file>new. When the box pops up, you have to click the template tab. From there, you pick the template you want and create your page. Any changes you then make to the template, will be carried over to each page you created in the above fashion. Hope that helps.

You cannot just open the template file, add content, and use the "save as method" if you want the page to update when you change the template. It will not work!
