Default Joining Card Room Necessary?

If I want to be an affiliate for a room, do I need to have an account with the room?

Also, If I do have an account with the room, does it have to be a real money account?

Deposeting in each room seemes like a hassel, but if it has to be done, I guess I have no choice.

First, please use better English. If you expect a decent response to your posts, you should take the time to read what you're writing.

No, player accounts aren't a prerequisite of most poker affiliate programs. Most of the companies have a simple approval process, with the exception of Bodog. I promote them, but I know many affiliates have their applications denied.

I have real money accounts at every room I advertise. Sure, you can write up a review that is similar to other reviews in the industry without actually playing, but doesn't it make sense to actually test the site before promoting it to your community? What if one of your visitors contacts you and wants to play heads up at a particular room you're marketing?

Lighten up Rice,

Not everyone is a native English speaker. His point was easily understood.

Generally speaking, you do not have to have an account to get paid from an affiliate program, although there are a few rooms that may require a players acount, I would say those rooms are the exception rather than the rule.

One advantage to having the money deposited to a players account is that you can generally avoid any cashout fees associated with having your money sent directly to Neteller or Firepay.

I would say it's definitely best to have an account of some sort with the poker rooms you're promoting, though it isn't neccessary for opening an affiliate account.

I'm a firm believer that you have to know the product to be able to promote it properly. If you've not even visited and played at a room you can't really tell your visitors anything with any conviction.

I fail to see the problem with how this question is written??

Anyways, on to the actual question. It certainly is not required to have an account at all the rooms you promote, but it certainly doesn't hurt.

It was not just this post. People not writing well is a big problem in business today, so I was helping him out. How you articulate yourself is important. I was a bit harsh, but perhaps my criticalness will pay off in the future.

Gder03, if you are pretty good at poker, you can get some bonus whoring action going while you're reviewing all of the rooms. If you need more help with picking card rooms to advertise, there are reviews on this site. Plus, I'm almost positive that you can find an affiliate to sub under and receive additional advice from. If you start running private tournaments on your site, for instance, this would be another reason to have a real money account.

Good luck with getting started.
