Golden Palace have released a new video with David Carruthers, Zidane/Bush. It's rather funny, but maybe not best times given the current climate....

That might be the stupidest viral video I've seen in a while. Your average consumer has no clue who Caruthers is. With the law on gambling so fuzzy right now, why would you do something like this thats gonna confuse people even more?

I think it's stupid too but look at almost 100 views on this thread and it's a video that someone posted here because it's borderline retarded and that's what gets people talking, and eventually seeing the goldenpalace banner. In a year you won't remember the commercial but you'll still have that goldenpalace logo imprinted in your mind as long as they keep slapping it on you in different ways.

100 views by poker affiliates really doesnt matter. No one is talking about this in any poker forums/blogs/sites. The PokerShare monkey was hyped up a lot and got tons of press. I think that was a great buzz marketing campaign, and it paid off for PokerShare.

Golden Palace lives by the "any press is good press" motto. In some areas this works, but when you're dealing with gambling, people's money, and an industry that already has a lot of uncertainty in it, being the class clown won't work in the long run.
