Biggest MGR Player you've ever had? Comepetion.

Hey Eveyone,

I have always seen this as a "game" in the casino affiliate industry but there are really some insane poker players hitting the tables now as well. I wanted to basically turn this "question" in to a Challenge and what better place than here? It's going to be a little reality show of sorts and the winnings will truly be fun and interesting to see. I'll keep you posted on how its going (confidentiality intact).

Are you up for the Poker Heaven Fisherman Challenge?
In the month of September, Poker Heaven will pay $100 for every affiliate who brings in a player raking 2000 hands! (raked hands must be on table limits 25c/50c or higher)

That's right, if you can find yourself some whales this month, we will pay you extra cash on top of your commission!

The affiliate responsible for our biggest raking player will get their buy-in covered for the $320 online final on Sunday October 15th for the Asian Poker Classic, taking place next March.

Was looking at some stats tonight and had another question. I have never personally worked in the 'casino' side of affiliate marketing. We all know the CPA for those players can get pretty insane as well.
In reference to a 'poker whale' what all have you seen in regaurds to massive players? I am looking to get a broad reference and feedback on what some of the biggest players you have 'netted' in the past did?

I've got some pretty big casino players, they all win though so doesn't help me much. One player _cashed out_ $16,000 a few days ago. Didn't make me especially happy.

biggest whale we ever landed was a guy who had over 1 million in action in the bodog casino in one month. He ended up loosing around 20k if i remember correctly. that was a nice bonus.

Adioking, yes I wish he had atleast just won it, but he won it AND made a withdrawal.

I have a guy at Bodog that lost about $40,000 the past couple months. He's never had a winning day and yet he keeps coming back for more.

Had a party poker player put $8000 in rake in one month. ~$1600 for me. A regular at NL600/NL1000. Still plays some.

Kellerman, you get him over to PH immediately lol. Thanks for the good feedback as well. I am not suprised you had a big casino player at BoDog either, seems like their mass marketing leads them to gain some whals here and there. Great for a nice monthly bonus eh'?

Fishermans Challenge Update:

As you know we're running a cool promotion this month where an affiliate can earn an extra $100 per player when they catch a real rake producer. Also the winner gets his buy in paid for in the Asain Poker Classic final online. Here is an excerpt from a funny email I recieved from an affiliate this morning.

"greg, i am trying to get these whales to bite so here is my latest. I emailed a few known players of mine and challenged them to play more hours this weekend than me. if they play more than i do I'm going to give them $50 credit in the points account. i figure i'll make this in rake with that much play and I want the bonus from PH's promo"
