I produced a Poker DVD for the german market (Strategy for beginners) and sell it on EBay for a price that just covers my expenses.
Post two offers a day so that it shows up on top at least for a while. Ebay fees are low when you sell for €2, so it's cheap advertising. Getting like 3-4 sales per week, and I put the link to my poker website on the MyEBay page so that I get some extra traffic to my website from it as well.

Ok I have a few ideas I will be starting this week for offline advertising around my college campus and around my city in general...

I think I am just going to advertise my site instead of bonus codes, but my site isn't really professional looking. Do you think this is still the better option?

I am need of some more suggestions for offline advertising!
here is what I have

1- business cards in washrooms everywhere I go
2- go to some book store and put them in the poker books
3- go to a store that sells poker chips and slip them inside and around the items... what store in Canada would be best for this? Walmart?
4- hold tournaments and just hand out fliers to the participants and maybe add a bonus $50 to the prize pool

Any more unique ideas would be awesome!

Honestly I did all of these for a while and it's just a huge waste of time. If you think about it, you could be using all this time to write QUALITY pieces for your website.

Having a website with good information and links to it will earn you MUCH MORE money
, and your income will be sustainable for a longer period of time. Ranking well for something in Google for 5 months is more beneficial than picking up 10 new players in an offline campaign.

Good point, but first of all I lack in website design and SEO. Second of all I have no conections for links. Third of all I have basically no starting money to begin with.

Any ideas?

Write quality articles and sell them to poker sites. Its a great way to build up funding to start your own site.

Hey Deepak, Going to have to argue that Hungarian girls are the finest in Central Europe! But maybe by Draculas Country you refer to Transylvania? This is really part of Hungary anyway right?!?

(tounge in cheek here BTW, don't want to start an international incident!)

Cheers, Mark (your correspondant in Budapest!)
