Default Can we call the White House?

this might not be plausible, i have no idea. but i was just speaking with someone who mentioned that bush hadn't signed the bill yet. is it possible that we can call the white house and voice our objection to the bill being signed as-is? i figure it's worth a shot and a minute of our time. i'm not sure how it works, but if he vetoes, can it get sent back and certain provisions taken off?

i figure we can call or email. worth a try, maybe, right? i at least want to get my opinion heard one more time somewhere

This might actually be possible. Anybody know if we can or cannot lobby by calling our input to the white house?

Absolutely no way Bush vetoes a bill based on Frist's addon. Sadly, this would be a waste of time, although any time citizens get involved at any level couldn't be considered a waste of time, could it?

I would make it clear, if you intend to proceed, that you intend to hold it against the entire GOP, not just the individuals about to campaign yet again.

Also, it should be noted here that EVERY incumbent was inherently involved in this scheme, only 2 Congressmen voted AGAINST the bill. 21 abstained, and are equally guilty in its passage.

Vote them all out, even your man. Send a message today!

Hell, I would have voted for the bill too, except only for the purpose in which it was proposed. MANY senators disagreed with the gambling part, but the benefit of the port act was too great, why is why it passed. Had it not piggybacked it would have easily been defeated.

I highly doubt that with this Congress. The piggyback on the port bill was just an easier way to get it to pass.
