Default Seeking advice from you pro's

i started my own forum on my own domain which is www.poker-squad.com
which i thought i did ok with, it was looking good, but trying to get traffic and members/customers is turning out to be quite difficult for me.

i offer a genourous $40 sign up bonus on what i think is a very popular poker site, and i also offer a huge 500% deposit bonus at one of the most newest poker rooms, but still i have problems getting people to register at my forum, i advertised on 300 tables 4 times in 2 days on ladbrokes but i only got a few people interested.

any advice you guys can offer would be absolutely fantastic.

thanks in advance.

im no pro either, but if i were you i would work on that homepage, you need content, visitors will come in time, its a long process in this industry, nothing happens over night, just keep writting content for the homepage make the appearance nice, and work on link exchanges and you will get visitors, and those visitor will start to go into your forum!

P.S. If you dont have the design skills i can build you a site PM me if you like!

I would also suggest some kind of forum contest, winning receiving $50-$100 free for a poker room or soemthing like that

putting a small 2-5 post requirement for your private tournaments can also be a good way to get people to post

It sounded like you said you were posting in poker rooms to get people to check out your forum.

INHO this is a very bad way to get members. I see 2 main things wrong with this busibess sense.
1. You are spamming players that are signed up by one affiliate to check out your forum instead. (This will piss off other affiliates)
2. Most exsisting players are already at a poker forum and you will need something different to attract them.

I'll be honest with you I started this whole thing with one poker forum and over time I have built it into numorous sites and a decent network of poker related websites.

I would stop spamming poker rooms and work on a GREAT site that offers something different and people will just come there.
