Default anyone ever try the yahoo webhosting?

I was gonna try yahoo webhosting...the one thats like $7 a month...right now i am buying my domains through yahoo and using a masked forward to a freeservers subdomain with no adds...but i heard the forwards are harder to get a good SE ranking so i wanna do the yahoo thing... i submitted myself to a few search engines manually but i would rather pay the $7 per month and have yahoo do it for me ( i hope they do) ...atleast for the yahoo engine...someone give me advice please...i wanna make a big site with a forum and sell poker products and all that stuff...advice plz

I have heard that yahoo webhosting is decent. As for the fact that they submit you to search engines, as long as your site has backlinks the search engines will find them on their own - 95% of the SE traffic comes from google, yahoo and msn so submitting to other search engines is a waste of time.

You should concentrate on getting good incoming links. Even with just your site in the signature of your posts at PAW you will get indexed by the search engines. That being said, you definitely move away from the freeservers subdomain asap.

btw I see it's your 2nd post here, welcome to forums.

well ty, it was pretty clever of me to use a masked forward with a subdomain wasnt it? I am a poor...lol...i made $9 my 1st month being an affiliate for pokerdotcom and now this month i made over 1700....i draw blood 40hrs/week and only bring home 1300 per month lol...i think im gonna shell out some of this money to make a respectable site

GoDaddy.com economy hosting is $2.79 a month if you do 12 months, then upgrade to 24 while you are in the shopping cart (its a secret... usually $3.19 a month for 24 months and even $3.99 a month for single months)

Also, get it even cheaper ($2.51 a month) by using the promo code "renew31" for 10% off.

DO NOT USE Yahoo. I hosted a website on their for $20 a month. One day my site wouldn't come up so I called them to see what the problem was. They told me my account was locked and I violated the terms of service. I spent several days on the phones and emails trying to resolve this problem. The only way to solve this was to email support. I never got an answer!!!

I lost all of my site, my email was lost and I never found out what the problem was. They said they can close your account for any reason!!! Lost hundreds of members and lots of money becasue of it.

Main thing again is never host with your registrar. If you bought the domains via Yahoo, host with anybody on Earth besides Yahoo.
