The conversation often comes up in poker affiliate circles about "How much is your avg. RMP worth?" Personally I think alot varies on where your getting your players from and what limits they are playing. I know I would pay $20 a piece all day for RMP's.

The one thing I still can't get a grasp on though is giving away $50 to strangers. I mean if I knew the person and I knew they were a big player, of course....I'd probably even give them more. But if someone is asking me for it, the odds are they don't have their own $50 and what value is that to me after they donk off their free money in a few hands.

I think we all would agree though, if we could "buy" RMP's we all would do it. Take a look at your total RMP's and divide that by your monthly mgr% and there's a basic guideline of what your players are worth.

Now the more interesting question is how much would you pay for play money players. If I told you I could send you 100 play money players for $300, would you buy? (I can't do that and besides I will send them through my tracker.........just an example, sorry :P ) But seriously I know alot of my players every month are converters from play to real.

Hell I started out at Paradise playing .25 - .50. Damn, why did I ever leave those limits

Anyhow just curious to get you guys thoughts on the value of play money sign-ups.

The question is probably too theoretical to answer, but I think that getting Play Money Players is just as important as focusing on RMP's... It is hard to say how many actually convert in the end, but a good percentage do... Get them trying it out, and they may just take the bait...

I have Affiliates who provide the first deposit basically to Players - gives the Player a risk free opportunity to play and if they like it they'll keep on playing. Many of these are now raking it in on MGR.

I actually would like to be able to promote PartyPoker.net and have these players attached to me forever. Once these players become comforatble with it and convert you own them.

In the year and a half I've been promoting Party each RMP has made me about $240 and about 1 in 6 play money players becomes a RMP.

So each player signed up is worth about 40 bucks to me so far, knock on wood.

I'd like to promote PartyPoker.net also but I doubt they'd ever let us do that, the TV comercials must be getting them tons of new players without having to pay affiliates a penny.

Hope its worth it, I have thousands of play money players at ultimate bet alone. I think the play money player is the key to long term residual income, because of the fact, eventually they will get the itch to try out real money.

Can anyone resist the constant bombardment of online poker room newsletters either?

I asked my affiliate manager last year if this was possible, they said no. Maybe things have changed?

Whats the point of promoting .net instead of .com? Isn't it the same software as same players as the .com play money?
