I am starting a project as a poker affiliate and I have seen some websites to have ranking of the players related to them. I was wondering if you could answer me some questions about this:
- How can I check if a player is a subcriber of my site?
- How can I get tourney results from my subscribers?
- Do I have to have ranking for each poker room, or a full ranking of all my subscribers?
Thanks in advance

- How can I check if a player is a subcriber of my site?
A :- You dont. They come to you to say they want to take part. It is done on an honour system. IE they register with you that they are "MingtheMerciless" on PokerStars, "TheManProfessor" of Full Tilt etc. If a player ID gets disputed by anyone then that player is asked to identify themselves in the poker room.
- How can I get tourney results from my subscribers?
You use a results database, or monitor the completed specific tournaments
- Do I have to have ranking for each poker room, or a full ranking of all my subscribers?
No. You tell them what tourneys will be ranked and where they are. Eg The $55 on Pokerstars at xx:xx time is a ranking tourney. Decide a tourney schedule so people have enough opportunity to play. Do more ranking tourneys at the weekends so any part-timers can play.
I would recommend using an exsisting feed like the one sharkscope offers versus trying to come up with your own, especially if you are new to coding and the business.
It is alot of work to scrape sites and tourneys unless you have the experience.
