Keywords, Better to have a lot or a little?

Hey guys, I'm trying this whole SEO thing and I am redoing the keywords... uh i mean keyPHRASES on my pages... starting with my home page, I am adding the top searches in Overture's keyword selector tool, but then I thought to myself... is it better to have a couple of keywords and really focus on them in my text or should I have more keywords that still pertain to what I'm writing about?

Like for example...
Should I use: minnesota poker, minnesota poker tournament, mn casino

or

should i use: minnesota poker, minnesota poker tournament, poker supply minnesota, minnesota poker room, poker table minnesota, minnesota poker casino, mn poker, mn casino, grand casino mn,grand casino hinkley mn, mystic lake casino mn, grand casino hinckley mn, casino in mn, hinckley casino mn, shooting star casino mahnomen mn, black bear casino mn, northern light casino walker mn, minnesota casino, casino in minnesota, grand casino minnesota, grand casino hinkley minnesota, casino duluth minnesota, black bear casino minnesota, minnesota gambling casino, minnesota casino directory

Each page should target a specific keyword phrase, or maybe two phrases.

Do you mean META keywords? I think they don't matter at all nowadays. Of course you should have them but remember that SEs don't really care about them too much.

Don't overuse the words (so SEs don't feel spammed): minnesota poker, minnesota poker tournament - it's enough if you use 'minnesota poker tournament' as it includes 'minnesota poker'.

You can have quite a lot of keywords, but make sure they are diverse. So you can add for example: Doyle Brunson, Chris Moneymaker, Las Vegas, Bellagio etc. but don't do this: poker, poker sth, poker sth, poker sth etc.

Make a careful selection for the fraze you put between - ie. what appears on your browser's titlebar - it's something quite important for SEs.
