Forum spam bots

Does anyone out there who uses phpBB have trouble with spam bots getting passed the registration? At first I thought it was real people signing up and spamming but they always post in the same section. How do they get passed the coded registration and are they drawn to certain keywords or something?

I'm really glad that this thread got started as I thought that I was the only one. Corp, that link is invaluable, although after trying the blog post script my registration files became corrupt. However, I followed the instructions here: http://4fxearth.net/applications/Mat...gistration.txt and got it to work like a charm. It could be due to having a few SEO mods in place so if anyone has similar mods, you might need to follow the instructions on that link instead.

I tried this and various other stuff too, I still have the same problem. I am almost convinced that these ppl are manually registering and posting... porn porn porn I am so pissed off, I would change to vbulletin in a second, I dunno really how to do it tho and Im a bit scared to loose everything.
