Neteller: hope yet?
A potential solution for some people.
OK, just got off the phone at the 1-403 # I posted in a different thread, took me less than a minute to get through.
Asked if I changed my address to Canada on my account online whether my money would be freed up.
Answer: No, you would have to open a new account with the new address.
Was told if I opened a new account, canadian address, canadian bank, and used a CANADIAN computer to do it on, they would *transfer* my money from my US based account.
Asked the guy *twice*...are you sure you would do this, and he said, "Yup, if you can verify the stuff, there should be no problem, we can do that....transfer your money over."
I said, "Really? Cause the rumor is that all the US money has been seized, or frozen, and that is why people can't move it."
He said "Nope, we can transfer your funds if you open up a new account."
One of the Poker Rooms should host a conference in Vancouver or Toronto on "Alternative funding mechanisms and the future of online Poker in expanding outside the USA."
Charter some planes, get some bulk discount flights.
Same with hotel rooms.
Get a Canadian address, and Canadian phone.
Visit a bank that gives you a debit card on the spot.
Open a new Neteller account from a Canadian computer.
It would be a great networking opportunity!
Maybe Graham will let you "live" with him!
It does seem to argue against the rumor that the money has been tied up by the US government.
