Default Will Vegas Casinos Ever Go Online?

Just wanted to get some thoughts and opinions as to whether anyone thinks the big players like MGM, etc will ever take their businesses online. I know this is somewhat hypothetical right now due to the current legislation, but it seems like an obvious market for the major forces in Vegas to look into for the future. Imagine a Bellagio branded poker room for American players to play at online, I can only begin to imagine the potential if something like this were to happen. I know this is a complex issue but surely with the money and expertise of the staff that these organization can afford to employ there is a way for them to execute this and make it taxable as well as legal in the eyes of the government. Personally I think it would be great if the US gov re-visited the issue and legalized online gambling to US based entities with known reputations. This would cut out the tax-free operating environments and afford US consumers the luxury of playing with a trusted brand. Once again, I know there is alot of red tape surrouding something like this but surely the big dogs like MGM, Wynn, etc are looking/have looked into this. Can anyone share insight into this?

I believe MGM had a site up and took it down a couple years ago. You would have to believe that everyone one of those guys are positioning themselves to be able to launch a casino/poker room the day US regulates it.

When the online industry is regulated I think every major BM casino will jump on it in a second. How sweet would it be to fly into vegas go hit up the MGM poker room and get chips from a transfer from your online poker account?

Better yet imagine the loyalty schemes, converting your poker points for a few nights at the Bellagio, bottles of Grey Goose at light and tickets to a boxing match........why wont this happen lol, we can only hope.

I don't see any reason it shouldn't. They will be making more off a lot of online high rollers than the do live ones so the perks should be similar.

Oh the loyalty rewards for Vegas Casinos would be crazy I'm sure.

Just imagine the conversions!!!!! Would be like shooting fish in a barrel the day they opened up shop for affiliates.

I am sure they will. They might not launch with one, then one casino will and everyone will be forced to follow.

No imagine if you player was tracked at the mgmcasino.com and then at the MGM.

Harrahs would make so much money from this.

2-4 years they will be online - BET ON IT

There are many people that have questioned the stance of the smaller private companyes and what will happen when Vegas is online. Advertising will be wide open - that is for sure. Vegas will have the bulk of the market share of course. Only a year ago PartyPoker had the bulk of the market share and dozens of smaller companies thrived. It will be no different.

Being able to parlay points earned online with Vegas rooms, tickets, family vacations can't be beat - I have to admit.

They will still take affiliates.

You will go to jail for offering rakeback I am sure
