Default Google and Stumbleupon

Anyone else notice that all the Stumble upon tags are now showing beside those sites who have been tagged in google search. Interesting how many sites don't use Stumble upon for tagging

I'm getting traffic from stumble and until I noticed that I had never heard of it. Also, I'm not sure why I'm getting traffic from there.. Any ideas? Also, what is the site about?

Stumbleupon is a social bookmark site like digg...just mainly for websites youcome across that you think kick ass or something. Anyway from what ihave seen they are the only ones that I ever get traffic from and at a decent rate to.

Everytime I create a page I stumble it automatically. They do apply a no follow tag but I am more or less thinking of the people who visit my site with it. They may not convert, but they might which is why i still do it.

Go register an account download the toolbar icon thing and use it each time you make a page. I think traffic would be better for those with blogs who write new content on a regular basis.

if you are getting hits from them Holyman than someone has stumbled on of your pages

here is the link to those that have tagged your homepage

100% agreed -- a "certain someone " helped me out with getting my local site noticed A LOT on StumbleUpon when I was first trying to develop it. Got me a lot of solid traffic too. I knew nothing about it until a few months ago....lol, so sad of me.

I've been doing this for 2 years now and I still learn something new every day

I'm just now beginning to realize how much help sites like StumbleUpon and Digg can bring to your own pages. I was always about aggressive marketing and advertising through print ads, other bigger authority sites, and word of mouth campaigns with a lot of my websites; with stuff like this I've come to the realization I don't have to burn as big a hole in my pocket nowadays to bring in decent amounts of traffic, advertisers, and solid RMP's.

Most social bookmarking sites now have a non download version where you can just click hold and drag it into your FF or IE toolbar. Stumble upon you have to download it. Once it is downloaded you should see a few tabs. A stumble button which will redirect you to the stumble website to check out new sites...and you will also have two hand symbols a thumbs up and a thumbs down

You use thse to rate websites...or a biased approach to rate your own site. When you click the thumbs up a pop up will appear allowing you to edit the title of the submission and the details to your review as well as rate it. Each time you submit a new page others will see it just like digg saying new pages stumbled and it will allow others an entry to your site.

It's awfully handy just in day to day communication too really. I send my partner at least 10 stumbles a day .. Look at this, Have someone cover this topic.. fix this.. and so on

Be careful with that adult option though, When I first started stumbling, to be responsible I did mark my sites as Adult ... gambling = adult right? ... well errr no. Because if you mark it adult, it will come up in google with the word PORN next to it :O
