Default Celeb Poker Spamming via India again :(

I've got about 5 of these generic posts in the last 2 days:

"Play The Poker League Today, the Poker League is Challenging, and Fun, for players at all levels with Added Cash and FREE Bonus Seats to Live Poker Tornaments Worldwide in 28 Selected Weekly Guaranteed MTT Tournaments, 4 Games a Day 7 Days a Week with a yearly prize pool of over €17 Million . Play Poker FREE CelebPoker.com - Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Freerolls, Bonus"

The hyperlink goes directly to celebpoker without any affiliate URL

and the offending posters Ip address is:

The IP Address is: 122.167.243.15
The host name is: ABTS-KK-Dynamic-015.243.167.122.airtelbroadband.in

I can't think of any reason for these posts other than CelebPoker is paying some "marketing" company to promote for them, but the promotion is just plain spam.

When are Online Poker companies going to stop this crap?

Jason

Same thing on my forum this morning. I thought it was odd that the URL had no affiliate link.

I think you're right about them hiring someone to do this. I wouldn't mind if they joined and actually contributed someone useful. Instead, he/she started a thread titled "Lucky" and then posted "What make you Lucky on the game?". They had the same signature you posted.

Will complaining to Celeb Poker do any good?

Hey guys, as you know I used to work for CelebPoker and I can tell you it's most likely a hired marketing company that is doing this. Sometimes you pay people per lead and they just blast the links everywhere.
You can email Lyn and sort this out I'm sure - lyn@celebpoker.com

Yep...they are hitting up all my sites too.... time to send them an email to tell them to go play in traffic.

More spam today when I woke up, obviously they don't get the point. For every spam post I get from them, I'm about 10x less likely to ever promote them.

Cant blame you there Jason; not sure why they haven't stopped this yet as I'm sure there are loads of complaints now. I am going to email them as well and see what the deal is?

Tell them to send me a check for $33.41. My hourly rate for this year is $200.44 and they have officially wasted ten minutes of my time.

I just spent another 10 mintues cleaning up more spam. Revised Invoice: You now owe me $66.82 cents. I will not do business with you until you pay, and actually I'm not joking. I have 2 very major international portals opening soon and was thinking about promoting a room from the Boss Network. Guess it won't be Celeb Poker
