Hi guys,

I'm a newbie to the forum, and after lurking here for a while, I have to say there are some great ideas here, so thanks for that.

I'm based in Europe and poker is expanding massively here at the moment, and my feeling is there's not much offline stuff going on here at the moment, so I want to take advantage of it NOW!!!

I'm a non-techie person, but I'd like to give a go to the offline promos you guys mentioned in some of the other threads. So my question: do you need a website to promote Party or other affiliates offline? Or can you just join as an affiliate and promote them through a bonus code? Also would you just stick with one site? If so, which one? What are the pros and cons in your view of the affiliate programs?

Thanks for your help,

Pokerspike

Yes you certainly can promote without having a website! With Party Poker, you can designate a tracker using any word phrase you want. Then in you advertisments you can have them got to Party Poker's website and have them enter that bonus code when signing up. I believe Empire poker is the same way. I am an affiliate of 3 other sites and they are the only ones that offer this option, so this may be your best route.

By no means do you need a web site to be an affiliate. However a website is very usefull, even if you're focusing on offline advertising. Even if its just a langing page with your bonus codes, every little bit helps.

My suggestion would be to pay someone 25-50 dollars to create a small site for you. If you dont know someone personally that knows basic html, you might be able to talk someone in this forum to help. If all else false, you can put your desired project up on a freelancer auction site and they'll bid on to get your work. Just search "web freelancer" in google and you'll find a few of hte auction sites.

I am personally website illiterate. I could spend the next few years developing a nice website. I chose to save a lot of time and headache and purchase a website off of Jeremy Enke. He'll make you a niche website that is local to you and basically brands the website for offline promotions. This is how he started and look where he is now. The guy makes 6 figures, has his own e-book, he's pretty much setup. What's wonderful about his websites is that they are branded to where you live, so any offline promotions will surely spark interest in people who play poker in your community. I am a brand new affiliate, so I am just beginning this affiliate adventure. I hate to blow smoke up anybody's ass but Jeremy has really been great about helping me get this thing going. So not only do you gain a superb, content filled website, you also gain a business partner who is successful and has a vested interest in your success.

Check out my website at: SonomaCountyPoker.com

Let me know what you think.

Thanks. Jeremy did everything. Sports is really big in my area so I suggested he add some pictures of the Giants/A's/Raiders/49ers as everyone seems to be a fan of 1 or 2 of those teams. He found incredible pictures. He will add or subtract whatever you want. He wants you to be happy. He will also help you to become successful, which is worth more to me than the website I paid for. I am very happy with what he did for me. The thing is, having a website means nothing if you don't go out and there and market it. I'm waiting for Party Poker to send me a thousand flyers/business cards so I can get this thing off the ground. I am also in the process of creating flyers for my website to draw local poker players to it. With the WSOP being advertised on tv, it's going to create a another huge rush of excitement in the poker community. Also, every year there are a new influx of young poker players who just need to be pointed in the right direction......hopefully to my website.
