Default Homepage has PR, rest of site none
I'm wondering why my domain http://www.gamblingstrategyguide.com/ is having trouble transferring PR ranking to other pages of my site?

My home page has a PR2 ranking, but none of my other pages are picking any up.

Pages are getting indexed by the SE's though.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Do I need to get more links to internal pages?

oh, that does not look good. What should that file say?

Any time there is disallow in there that is no good.

Erase this robots.txt file now! Go to google webmaster tools and create another one if you need it. If you do not need to exclude any folder from search engine access, you don't need the robots file at all!

Ok, the robots.txt file is gone. Thank you. I don't think google was not finding these pages, since there are quite a few indexed, but I don't know why they get indexed but no PR.

Getting rid of it isn't a good sloution. Every domain should have one. It can be completely blank though.

Make sure you re-add the file, but leave it blank or do as "new" wrote above.

It doesn't really matter if you have one or not if you are ALLOWING all pages to be indexed.

Not having one leads to dozens or hundreds of 404 errors a day. Search bots always look for it first, so you want to invite them in. There is no reason why you should ever not have one. I'd say this is especially true if you just had one that said something unhelpful. You want to correct that as soon as possible, when the bots come by next.

Wait till you have a message in webmaster tools saying that google cant access your homepage because it cant find your robots.txt and since it couldnt find the robots file it wasnt crawling your site...that will teach ya real quick to take the 10 seconds and make one
