Networking with affiliates

Obviously that is why we are all here. To talk to other affiliates and affiliate managers, but how many of us actually even know anything about each other? Age? Race? Name? I wonder if it would be worth it to have a network of affiliates that you actually knew to help send some links when someone was starting a new site or just to shoot the breeze with. It seems like corporate businessmen all do that so why shouldn't we.

I guess this is a network of affiliates already where we do all those things but if you have any specific suggestions on how we can make this process better then don't hesitate to do so.

There are several networking events that go on throughout the year for gaming affiliates and a lot of the things you mention take place. I've always felt we could do more along those lines in the forum though.

What kind of gaming events? Are there poker specific ones or do you mean just the general ones. I saw there was a big one in Amsterdam not too long ago.
