I was just wondering if any of you have tried localising your poker brand/portal, when i first started out about the same time google maps started.

I thought i found a great little way to get on top of the search engines with no pay per clicks and with zero knowledge of SEO. As things have envolded alot now, i thought i would share this with you guys.

Bascially what i wanted to do was to get more search results in the fastest period of time. so i started adding my local portal into google maps. So i thought my website is based is suffolk so i will start here, when i activated the account, bang i was top of suffolk poker. So this gave me a great idea i thought i would replicate this. so if you put into google norfolk poker (where i wasnt listed, due to not knowing SEO) i then activated the account and boom, i was top

So this gave me a great little idea to replicate this across the UK, so if you put into google kent poker for example you will see a map, but the differnce is google has cottoned onto me, and they have decativad my links from "some" of my made up poker compaines.

Here are a few examples of ones that have been dectaviated;

I have noticed other people beed doing this now after me, ijust wanted to see if any of you guys have used google maps in promoting any kind of poker etc

Never thought of doing that although you really need to be targetting a specific location I guess
