We talked about FT in another thread. The thing with them is if signups to this freeroll did not deposit in the first 30 days you would lose credit for them and FT would take over the referral status. Personally I won't invest a nickel promoting them.
Wouldn't you also be better off promoting a lesser known site for something like this where fewer players would already have an existing account? Would increase your possible conversion rate wouldn't it? As well as a site that allowed freeroll winnings used at real tables that created rake to be commissionable. I know not all do but don't know which. I think I could get us a $1,000. freeroll where the above would be possible without us putting up any money of our own if enough affiliates were willing to participate. It could generate revenue for this forum as well if everything was done right. |

I can't see many affiliates putting up the hundred bucks, I like the idea of the freeroll without the entry fee, affiliates only would be the selling point, 1K might be ambitious given the amount of folks who would play, a couple hundred though would be fine with only a few people participating. Maybe we should ask who's in for free.

Ken I think the original post was meant as an offering for our sites to get player signups etc. But I do like the idea of an affiliate challenge tourney for us. Would be kinda neat just playing each other. But you're right in that no way a poker room going to give us a $1,000. tourney for just us to play in.

I like the idea of a forum free roll for our players, i dont know what the conversions would be like. I know this kind of thing has been done before. What about a RakeRace or RakeChase insteas of a forum ? Im not promoting rakeback so might be aproblem for my players hehe, just trying to thorugh some ideas out there really.

Polar Bear, well I did read that every affiliate must give $100 so I figured that was an entry fee, after reading it again though you might be right, the $100 looks like it's a donation
Or at least for me it would be Like you said most people already have an account there, and newbies aren't tracked for very long. Of course I'm just speaking for myself, this wouldn't be worth the money for me, maybe for bigger affiliates who spill that much in lattees a day it might be worth looking at ![]() On the other topic, it would be cool to have an affiliate poker tournament, this has been thrown around for ages, never really had enough interest yet though. Tom - I guess you can still want rake races if you are at least on rev share, I'd need CPA races though, maybe play enough damn hands so I get paid or something

With regards to a affiliate poker tourney, as in a challenge for forum members only, I can get us a $250. freeroll if there are a minimum of 30 players. Maybe if some of you guys check with your affiliate managers we can get a couple more together and then crown a forum poker champ from overall results. But this is up to whether people here want to play or not. Naturally I'd be up for it as I love playing. Anyone else interested?

Not to be a dick but isn't this the reason OFC is around for affiliates to have freerolls and buyin tournaments to promote without putting up our own money?
