Default DonkeyLotto Update?

I was wondering if you guys had any more details on the donkeylotto site? I appreciate the info that's been posted so far, and don't want to seem greedy here, but watching the site from the beginning has been a very enlightening experience.

I'd love to hear some more in depth details, such as whether you guys are operating in the plus or the minus - what kind of monthly figures you are finding - if you are getting sponsors to give away the prizes or if that is coming out of your own pocket....etc etc.

I know most folks on here don't like to share numbers, but I thought that would be truly enlightening to many of us here. If not, maybe just some general updates would be nice?

Thanks much guys, I for one really appreciate your willingness to help out your community.

Well, first off...it has been a great success so far. We are currently at a break even point, but should be far away from the red soon.

We have just short of 800 members, and the numbers continue to grow.

We have had a lot of people sponsor our contests, and all of them have been happy with the results. We are always open to more as well.

Are forums are becoming more and more active, and its starting to become a great community.

All of this has been in the course of 1.5 months, so we are extremely pleased.

We have set high goals, and are working hard to reach them. We want any avid internet user to have heard, or been to Donkeylotto.com. With such a great and easy idea, I don't see any chance of slowing down.

If you have any other q's let me know.

Actually the forums are not doing to bad for only being a month and a half old. Every day new posts are being made and in total there are almost 800 members and over 2000 new posts. By most standards that would be considered pretty good. It's not going to be an Ebaums World overnight.

As everyone knows, forums are the most difficult thing to get going. In any forum including PAW, 90% of your traffic whether registered or not are simply going to be lurkers who never post.........regardless if they are registered members or not. One thing that cannot be undervalued however and this is more of an "internet marketing" thing versus a "poker affiliate" thing, is that we are building a very nice database and opt-in mailing list.

As long as the traffic is steady and the membership keeps growing I am very happy. Brandon basically runs the entire site and he is doing a hell of a job.

The forum traffic for a month and a half on such a general based forum is actually quite incredible if you know the industry.

As for your poker forum neverbeg, you have incredible loyalty and a massive amount of posts for such a small period of time.

Truly 2 amazing forums launched in the last couple of months from the PAW community.

Ya I would agree Ppokyh. The one thing you have to realize Neverbeg is that we are getting our members basically from scratch, one of the key assets you had was the traffic neverwin sent over to you. He was sending the most targeted visitors you could ask for (most play poker, like poker forums, and are looking for a handout) which is also why you have so much potential for that site.

As for the question, we are doing a lot. We recently had our donkey frenzy where we reset the counter everynight and did a quick contest. This was a hit, every topic that was started had 2 pages at least of comments in 10 mins. We have other things coming as well.

I think the main factor is we are only 1.5 months old (one month and 3 days since we started accepting advertising) and to have 800 members already is pretty impressive even comparing this to the goals Jeremy and I created when we began this adventure.

Currently we are looking for more Sponsored Contests. These are perfect for everyone since the sponsor gets their link in the MOST concentrated spot on our site. So if anyone is interested PM or email me.

Also we are going to have a contest soon to permanently name the donkey. Might be an ebay auction, or a silent auction, but who ever wins will have their name on the donkey forever. Stay Tuned
