Okay, so i'm done actually playing poker for the day, so I came over here to whine about it. I don't usually whine about poker online, I long ago learned that .. well you only really read so many bad beat stories in ur life.. but.. I wanna whine anyway
I started out at a cash table today, low stakes, so no real biggie, just frustrating as hell..
I'm getting my bootay whooped at the cash tables, always with the best hand.. those hands when you know the pot is yours.. and then.. it's not.. and you're shocked clean to your toes.. those kind of hands..
When I'm having a day like that, when I start thinking I'm beat before I even get involved in a hand, I quickly switch it up, put a limit on my losses and play SnG style. Now I'm playing a lot fewer hands, much more aggressive, usually that change alone gives me new goals, new mindset, and I do ok.
Not today.
My kings were beat by jacks, all in before the flop, which is the common theme in this story, I was all in before the flop with the best alot, but maybe i'm just playing tooo agressive?
Anyway, those jacks whooped my kings.. but no river beat, it was on the flop.. so YAY for that.
Later, the pot's raised, it's reraised.. I'm all in over the top of that. With kings. .. . again. I called 250 reraised a little over 3k..
All three of them call. hell.
Good news, they're ALL holding ace big.. all three of them! So dodging an ace should be pretty dang easy, there's only the one left.. . and it appears .. on the flop.
My pocket 9's get beat by A8.
I raise AK, one caller.. I bet the flop (k,x,j), huge, he calls, and I'm a bit nervous.. Here I am overbetting, mostly because I've been beat up in several sit n go's all freakin day long.. and he smooth calls.
The turn is the A, I bet that too, he raises, I have two pair now, only beatable by trips, I reraise. He calls.
The river, a 10, I knew I was beat. Just absolutely knew it. I bet, because, well IDK .. I always bet the river if I bet the whole thing down, i like throwing away good chips apparently. He raises, double my already weak bet, I call..
He'd made the 3 outer gutshot on the river with KQ.
Nothing against KQ though, in another hand .. today.. my KQ was beat by KJ.. :P
So apparently, I'm on a poker break, until my Karma at stars returns to decent
