AA would you ever fold before the flop? - Page 3

Do us a favor next time you read a awesome post like that invite him to a tourney with a large buy in :lol:
I dont care what DR Phil says or any book says I will never never fold pocket Aces before a flop..Thats like saying I will not go home with Angalina Jolie early in the evening in hopes of picking up a hotter chick later..
What I do hate about Pocket As is that I think I have lost more hands with Pocket As than any other hand..
I have tried slow playing them and have got beat and I have played them aggresive and have got beat..
Either way I will take them every time..

You can't just get AA and once you see it decide that your going to play aggressively because last time you lost slow playing them. It's ALL about the situation- position, players in hand, chip lead, the board, etc etc etc . Read a popular tournament book and you will see a full chapter about playing AA. You can't predetermine how you are going to play it.

Thanks Josh I never thought of that..
I believe Luck plays a bigger roll in this game than some people might want to admit..
I believe we all have lost on a bad beat before..

There's no such thing as luck. I love to play with players who believe in luck though.

I am no way a pro player I play for fun..
But if you get a bad beet what is that?

What seperates the good players from the bad players are how they play to prevent bad beats from, minimizing luck. Good players avoid play with luck, bad ones don't.

Yeah he did Paradise,but rumor has it that he was at his buddies house and did not feel like playing..
I guess the champ did not fell like defending the title..

What is a bad beat? Not anything magical or lucky...I'm supposed to get bad beats on occasion. It's just math. Pocket kings, pocket aces, ace king suited--they all lose a certain percentage of the time. Just like 27 offsuit is going to win a certain percentage of the time.
