I do use MT. However, there are a few affiliates here that do need funds shifted, and they are generally the ones I talk to (mostly via PM which I've done lately) excluding the recent post to PokerProp in response to their thread.

The remainder of those threads are old and are from when I ran PTO. If they were deleted, I would not care. My whole problem was the way his post was laid out. I for one do use this site as a resource to learn about being a poker affiliate. I have not posted on the topic simply because I do not know enough about it, nor have the time to focus on it yet. That does not mean that I do not contribute to this community, it just means that I haven't yet contributed to that single aspect. Does that mean I should be told to go away? No. That's the point I'm trying to make. Looking simply at the post content is not enough to know if a person contributes to this community or not.

I think you are taking this too personal man, you have been here a while and I wouldn't sweat it any. Just keep on the forums learning and growing and it will work out..

Randy - this is a tough spot for you. I think it benefits the affiliate market to let money flow, as this is how a lot of us smaller/medium sized affiliates keep food on the plates by getting money out fast (via trading to paypal).

However, with the great seo work on this site and the way word spreads - it quickly turns into a magnet for players who come here only to do what you want.

I propose NOT to have a specific forum for this unless it is by invitation only or something to that effect, because adding a specific forum will make the problem grow.

Good point. A special access forum for "old" members would be a good sollution IMO

I like Randy's stance on this. If I am going to trade money with anyone on this site its not going to be with someone who has 10 posts and I don't really know if they are an affiliate or someone here just trying to run a scam.

Fund exchanges have nothing whatever to do with poker affiliate marketing. They do have plenty to do with moving money around online, and certainly can be helpful to people, but there is no reason at all that such threads should be on here rather than trademoneyonline.com

As affiliates there is one concern, getting money from one place to your pocket. There is zero affiliate issue in getting money from one cardroom to another.

Just add some of the regular traders to skype or msn, my contact list is full of "got xxx at stars need pal' etc... could get whatever you need in seconds. Randy is right about removing the crap and to be honest the people here just for transfers are most likely scam artists.

RDRR!!! But seriously, the PAP forum has a place for doing transactions, but that place is not in this particular area of the forum as people have been using it. The place to post about cash buddy trades is in the poker affiliate exchange - Where you can buy sell or trade stuff.

I would also like to point out that the sub title of this particular forum area is "Yes we're all affiliates, but most of us play poker too!" which clearly indicates that this is actually a place to talk about poker and not just from an affiliate perspective. It's suppose to be the laid back area of PAP where you rant about your bad beats, gloat about your big wins, and talk about anything poker.

Threads about money transactiosn should never be allowed in this place and should all be moved to the proper forum topic and eventually people will get it.

While on the subject, I would like to make some suggestions on how to organise the forum better. First, each level 1 section should be collapsable if the software permits it (I'm talking about "Poker Affiliate Programs - Discussions for Poker Affiliates", "Poker Affiliate Cross Marketing & Diversification Section", "International Poker Affiliate Forums", "Poker Affiliate Programs - All-in Programs")

My suggestions are only related to the first main section "Poker Affiliate Programs - Discussions for Poker Affiliates"

Put yourself in the shoes of a new affiliate. When you come to this forum, what's the first thing you need to read about? - Affiliating 101

There should be a section that is very basic and informs me of the general concepts of affiliating, an overview of the different revenue models, a basic marketing plan, basic exposure ot SEO, link building, just something to get me started off on the right foot. Right now, what happens is information overload. People come here and the first thing they do is post in site review asking feedback about the site they just build when in fact they should be given a nice little toolkit PRIOR to building their sites. That's what this topic would enable, and it would be an area for the typical questions (there should be an new affiliate FAQ). I didn't have that when I started, and now that I've been doing this for 2 years, I realize how much time I wasted at doing stupid things without even knowing they wer stupid. This section could also be used for reviewing websites. This section should be listed first, boefore all the other topics. This is what you want new visitors to see first.

The other thing I notice is we have a web design Q&A which is barely active. Create a section called "affiliating technology" or something like that were you're not only talking about web design, but CMS, templates, php, hosting, etc. Anything that is a technological component that supports your business would be discused here (Typically, those discussions get posted at different spots - SEO, General Discussions and Web design).

Next item - Poker affiliate blog and news. There's a lot of good information here, and that needs better exposure. Anything that is news related and that affects the business - decisions by a poker room like the FT 60 day thing, the Kentucky domain grabbing attempts, all of those "hot" topics should be bundle into on area.

I don't think we need a cocktail lounge AND a general poker chat. Just have one topic for the laid back/fun stuff. And don't call it cocktail, because that's the gayest word in the english vocabulary (get it? HARHAR!!).

Exclusive PAP Poker Affiliate Deals & Promotions - There's an average of 2 new threads per month so perhaps it diesn't belogn in the forum at all, but rather on the PAP site somewhere else. Some of us have been wanting a spot where AMs can list their monthly promotions each and every month. I've made this suggestion myself about a year ago. This would be a great place to post those promotions.

Those are my observations.
