lol yeah I just realized this about a month ago so dont feel bad. Everything from the cocktail lounge down is closed and remains closed...Im not even new and there is just way to much stuff going on in the bottom half

and someone kind enough pointed out that there is a new posts tool aswell

I might get some backlash at this but here it goes. In regards to providing a new person with their own little package on seo, marketing etc I personally wouldnt do that. I love to help people dont get me wrong, but I dont think things should be handed on a silver platter either. I think what makes that person stick it out is being forced to look for resources on their own, and by doing so you actually make them work for themselves a bit instead of everyone doing it for them.

Now with that said I think a general FAQ covering say most frequently asked questions and giving them links to threads would be good and sticky it but to create a handy little welcome package and say here you go this is how to do most of what you need is to much.

If their heart is in the right place they will stick it out just like all of us here have

Anyway thats my two cents on it

I agree, hell - I'm still sticking it out not knowing anything about anything when it comes to SEO - I dig and look and try and work and fail and succeed and start all over again, but someday I'll probably figure it out.

Related Posts might be good..

Even though the forums are already collapsible, that was a great MPC, well thought out and full of some great ideas, I think some of that can be found in the affiliate marketing section.. in fact, pretty sure i read a great article.. by you.. in there the other day

Indeed. Perhaps. Anyway, if I offended anyone with my posts, sorry. I'll bow out if this conversion on that aspect. I've said what I wanted to and hopefully conveyed at least part of my point. If not, so be it.

Gotta love the voice of reason.

I understand you point of views of not handing out all the answers on a plate, but that's because you're wearing your affiliate hats and ultimately, you don't want more competition. But if you put on your PAP hat, then your purpose in life is to get affiliates to signup via PAP links and generate your own affiliate army becuase thta's how you make money. So I was wearign my PAP hat when I described this noob package, because it fully is in the interest of PAP to do this. No so exciting for the rest of us perhaps, that I can see.

Im gonna bump this.

My suggestion - I now think a swap forum would be beneficial with a few exceptions. I think it should be set up so that it doesnt get indexed and non members can't view it. Set a post criteria as well

My second suggestion is that members profiles are only made available to users who are logged in.

Reason is because somehow this place seems like its become a great spot for regular players who need cash in thier player accounts, I have been hit up randomly by a few people who were looking for money..they are not members and it would probably be in PAP's best interest IMO to not have threads where money is being swapped to be indexed anyways.

Mind you I know I have my email in my profile but I think this should be ok for networking...but not to be accessible to non members....make sense

I give it about 20 minutes and someone named kylie 101 or using that email will be registering at PAP to request money trades.

Harsh. I've seen that name before though. They're a scammer.
