I was playing at a live (at a casino) limit HE ring game. I see some very unusual card protectors at the local casino…

Some lady sat down next to me with a damn super fast blinking and bright (red light flashing) card holder. It was a damn pin or something that people wear on July 4th, but she turned it on and it was very distracting to me (sitting next to her).

I mean this light is blinking super fast right in my eye while I am looking at my cards. I asked her to turn it off and she got all defensive. Her batteries died about the time I asked her and after she said no, so that was funny.

If her batteries were to keep going would it be wrong for me to call the floor over and make her turn it off.

Anyone know what the floor would do in most cases?

It would be absolutely RIGHT of you to call over a floorman, in my opinion. People shouldn't be bringing that sort of garbage to the poker table. I think that if it was obviously distracting, you could request that it be turned off and something should be done about it. You're there to win money, and you should be entitled to the best possible environment to do that. Just the fact that she was so rude should lend something to your case to the floorman.
