This opportunity will not be available till at least August but I’m looking to build a list of interested candidates before then.
I’m looking for partners interested in working full time, so that means 30+ hours per week, doing mostly translation work. The ideal candidate should be a poker enthusiast with good writing skills.
This is a good opportunity for several reasons. We’ll work out a revenue share plan that is around 50% for the players referred in that language. While this might not sound good we earn a lot higher rate than affiliates starting out will ever earn and we also have access to some exclusive prop deals, which means you could not earn from them any other way period. For example a lot of rakeback affiliates start off at 5% override at a lot of rooms. Well through us we make 10-20% at most rooms so you’ll earn 6-12%. On the prop side your rate would be anywhere from 3%-4.5% but many very high volume players are props.
The rates are decent for someone starting out, but another great benefit is that right now our traffic is only 28% US. We have a growing international presence and we are constantly reinvesting in our site – When I look into the future 3 years from now I expect the site will look completely different and by then we’ll have field reporters in Vegas year round etc. Also have lots of other plans.
I have not through this through yet, but there needs to be some sort of vesting program because we’re obviously not going to commit to paying someone forever who works for six months then flakes.
Anyways if you speak another language and see there is a big enough market in that language I feel we can provide a very solid opportunity and can grow in time.
Our site is going to continue to expand and eventually propping will be an underlying theme that kind of ties the site together. Poker News, Poker Strategy, eventually pokerpro.tv, a forum, eventually player databases and tools etc: we make good money now but I treat business like a game. When I was a kid my favorite game was monopoly. Like you know how in Monopoly you have all the $ there is but still keep buying hotels etc

that’s how I play.. Enough will never be enough.. I want to have hotels on every property and own the board. That’s kind of my business philosophy its all one big challenge from starting with collecting the small rent to gaining all the deeds of the same color, to building houses, investing eventually have hotels, then corners then owning the entire board.. when its done I want to play and master the next game too. I bring this up to say..2, 3, 5, 10 years from now I’ll be doing just the same so I think the opportunity here is really strong. Like anything it will take a while to develop.
Anyways if you’re interested drop me a PM. After the WSOP is complete I’m going to be looking into site redesign and will not be ready to start doing the alternate languages till that time.
The site is pokerprop.net
