Online Tourneys - Site design, usability and features

Hi

I was hoping to get some feedback on Online Tourneys.

The purpose of the site is to allow users to search for tournaments using their various criteria and allow site owners to list their private freerolls and buyins.

Here is a basic rundown on the features:

Searching:
Allows user to search two different categories by eleven different =
criteria.
Allows "Quick Search" to search by three different criteria on any =
page.


Adding:
Allows users to submit upcoming tournaments to be posted on site.
If user is unregistered, tournaments must be approved by an admin.


Users:
Users can register on the site for free.
Users must activate account via email before logging in.
Registered users can submit tournaments directly, without having the admin approving them.
Registered users can send and receive private messages from other
users.
Registered users can create a basic profile of themselves.
Registered users can fill out a search form detailing tournaments they =
would like to be notified about. If a tournament fitting their details
is submitted, they will receive an email notification.
Registered users can change their email address and password.
Registered users can view tournaments they've recently submitted.
Registered users can view a list of members, view members profiles, and
send PMs to other members.


Calendar:
Users can view a calendar detailing tournaments available by month.
Users can change the month they're viewing.

Tournaments:
Users can view tournaments by searching for them or viewing tournament
listings.
Listings are sorted by date and category.
Upon clicking a tournament, users can view the details and click a link to take them to the tournament.

RSS:
Users can subscribe to RSS feeds for each category of tournament.
Feeds list the next 20 tournaments for each category.

3 things are being added - A field for the tournament name, a field for passwords (The site owner can set it so users have to visit their site to receive the password) and the title of the tournament pages will include the tournament details, i.e. tournament name, room etc. for SEO

The quick search doesn't seem to be working for me, gave it a go a couple of times but I kept getting errors.

The design is pretty nice, but it seems overly busy in places. I think the site would look much better and be way more user-friendly if you took out the lower section about deuceace. I had no idea what was going on there, and it made the site look more confusing than it should have been. I can't imagine you are going to be getting too many quality clickthroughs to the deuceace site by having that whole thing below the online tourneys part.

In my opinion, the site would look 10x better if you took that lower section out, and kept it short and sweet with the little search feature at the top (assuming you get it working of course). I really think less is more in this instance, and the more you push infront of your visitors, the more confused they are going to be.

Other than that, I think its a nice design with a very handy tool if you can get it working.

The only thing you need to change as i can see is this:

Can you tell me what the error is please?
I just tried but I couldn't do anything to get an error.

I will be changing the bottom section for new features and the parts for DeuceAce will be removed

I just gave the details to the coder.

Yes exactly, the shadow is "half"..But overall i really like the site!.. GJ!
