I'm new to this forum and forgive me if this is a really dumb question, but I am going to be a Party Poker affiliate and I need some help.

1. I keep seeing adds where people are offering $75 to people to sign up on Party Poker. These adds say that the $75 will be credited to their account and that the person doesn't have to give any banking information at all. How does this type of deal work out to the advantage of Party Poker and the affiliate offering the deal? I assume people can't just take the $75 and then cash out (I believe there is a certain number of raked hands required before cashing out is allowed) Even with this though, if the player plays just enough raked hands to cash out and then does how can both Party Poker and the Affiliate make money off this. Someone explain the whole deal for me, there must be something I'm not seeing.

2. I will eventually sign up to be an affiliate for Party Poker. Is there a special way to sign up or someone I should sign up under so that I get a better deal or something?

3. What do you guys think about MGR vs CPA at Party, with the low MGR they offer, do you think CPA is a much better option for Party Poker, what do you guys do. PokerNut said something about an affiliate network that pays $125 CPA + $10 for play $ accounts. Get back to me with whatever info you guys have.

Thanks

1. Stupid ideas are tried by different people basically forever.

2. You can sign up under someone, which could probably get you better initial terms, but in my opinon you are better off making your own track record.

3. That's not a very good deal in general. Virtually any experienced affiliate can offer you decent terms, but again I'd suggest you make your own way in the world if you are serious about the business. If you aren't serious and only intend to get a few players, then posting in the Exchange forum asking for subaffiliate offers would be something to consider. As for CPA versus MGR, you might want to do a forum search on that. It'sa regular thing brought up, and the answer depends on your circumstances more than anything else.
