Try this:

Get Nameserver information from WHM
For example
NS1.YourDomain.com, IP Address 123.4.5.6
NS2.YourDomain.com, IP Address 123.4.5.7

Log In to GoDaddy
Goto Manage Domains
Click on YourDomain.com
Click on "Host Summary (Add)" Lower left corner
Type in 'NS1' in hostname
Type in IP address of nameserver under Host IP 1 (eg 123.4.5.6)
Press OK
Repeat last 3 steps for NS2.YourDomain.com

Now you should be able to add NameServers to domain at Goddady like for shared hosting.

The server by default will have nameservers set up, the nameservers given to him by his host should work so it's just an issue with the godaddy control panel.

Usually with a VPS you run your own nameservers (eg ns1.yourdomain.com) rather than using the hosts (eg ns1.bluehost.com). What you need to do is register the nameservers as I described so that they show up under nameserver whois (see http://www.internic.net/whois.html) before you point to them in the domain whois.

You can do that as I instructed originally but then noticed he wanted to use the nameservers he already he had. They should work, using the IPs for your own nameservers means you have less unique IPs for sites.

Nameservers do not "use up" the IP address. Nameservers liston on port 53 whilst web sites listen on port 80. Thus the IP addresses used for nameservers can be used again to point to a unique web site through httpd.conf

Curious once the domains have been added will it put up a page like shared hosting does saying this website coming soon. I am waiting for the parked page to disappear

It does mean you have less unique IPs though, not shared.

Hey Cheryle

The DNS should resolve (Meaning the settings change to your domain at the very most, 72 hours to show your own site rather than the parked page) normally its working for me within a few hours now though.
