Default A Writer Here Being Evicted

Hi guys!

This is going to be a bit of an unusual post coming from me.

One of the writers here, who I'm not going to name (not even if u ask me in PM, or later on IM, or via email, not if you guess, and not if you ask for hints) is being evicted from their home because they couldn't make the rent.

We're a supporting community soooo I'm setting up a little new house, get back on ur feet, Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas Kickoff fund for the person.

I know this person really well, as do most of you (long time member here, longer at CAP), there are kids in the home, and it's really important to me being Thanksgiving an all to try to do something to help out.

I'll see if I can't get a hold of a picture of the new house once the family is all settled so that everyone here can see what they've done for someone in the community during what can be a pretty tuff time for some.

If you guys can make any small donation, really it's going to help. $10, $20, $100. It'll add up and a family won't become homeless right before Christmas.

You guys can send anything ya want/can to my paypal addy (LadyHoldem at Comcast.net ) just be sure that you put in the comments something about it being for the house so I'm not running around crazy trying to see where the monies are coming from.

Maybe I'll see if there's something we can't put together that could benefit the donators, I'm not sure there yet, but I'm a good brainstormer. Additionally, I'll try to update the thread with donations perhaps, that way it stays all accountable n stuff?

Thanks

Since this is a thread asking for donations, I moved it to the Poker Affiliate Exchange.

Perhaps if we knew what area they were located, a local member could help?

No names, just the general vicinity. If it's near Atlanta, I'm more than happy to offer some assistance finding a new place, etc.

I'll also send a donation via PP

Default Helping out

Hi Guys

Well i have read this post and come up with an idea that hope you will think about integrating.

Everyone here is into affiliate marketing, mostly in the poker area, so why not lets all get together and set up a series of events that would stop at all supporting poker sites, in which i will gladly help, open it to your members and so forth.

Instead of the poker site collecting the fees from the tournaments, they get donated to the cause.

No One needs to mention what the cause is for,as in this case it can get personal, all you have to mention is a poker tournament being organized and say no more.

Im sure all the poker rooms will be willing to sponsor something to make it attractive to promote and so forth..

Ive tried to help out as much as I can in charity events, and am sure other sites have done the same....

Look forward to hearing your replies

Colin

Thanks Guys! We're just over $100

I think if I disclose the location, I kinda disclose the recipient. I really don't want to humiliate anyone, sooo I can't do it.
