Default Rakeback software

I am writing this free hand. I have written 2 blogs so far, that didn't make the cut. One made me sound like an ass and the other was autobiographical, it may survive editing. I am not sure.

As far as the big announcements I was looking to make as many of you know I currently use www.rakebackmanager.com. This is software I helped develop from the ground up (with a lot of other rakeback providers) and it can be leased (I do not own it). One of the huge advantages of rakebackmanager is that you can use your own links, so for instance let's say that you have a deal with Carbon that you do not need my help with but you need links for FTP to stay competitive then rakebackmanager is a good option for you.

It also has its drawbacks because essentially one person runs the show and it can be difficult to keep up with demand.

That is why I was looking at using www.PokerAffiliateSolutions.com for my newer affiliates. PAS is essentially an out of the box system. Literally you can have a rakeback site within 5 minutes by just pushing some buttons. They are also some of the best people in the industry.

I am still working out the details because a lot of people want to use our customer management system as a resource. Between Derek (Derek is my business partner and some times falconeer) and I can not think of two better mentors in this regard.

The fact is neither system fits everyone so I am going to recommend both. If you need some customization then RBM is your choice but that comes with a cost because there are only 24 hours in a day. If you need links I can help but you do not need my help, you will be a free agent.

PAS on the other hand is convenient. If you are looking for a full service solution they are going to be your best choice. I can tell you this with certainty, if you are new to rakeback these guys can get you up to speed fast. PAS is also free because they make commissions only when your players make commissions.

This is a question that is asked a lot on these forums and while there are other solutions I believe these are the two best on the market. I think one thing you can expect is for this segment of the market to get very competitive and that will be a good thing for people looking to do rakeback.

I should have more on my other big announcement soon.

I use PAS on one of my sites and their system is great! I have used RU's and a few others software, and this has them all beat..

It sort of depends on your situation. The big drawback with a system like PAS (or using my links for that matter) is that you are beholden to those people. For most people this is not an issue at all but if you are looking into the future it is certainly a consideration. In a lot of cases there really are no options because the rooms basically force you to work as a sub with their tiering systems.

I agree though. At the moment PAS has the best technology.

The "contack us" page at PAS is not working so maybe you can answer this. What if you are already signed up as an affiliate at the different sites where they offer rakeback, can you still use this program?

I know that has been an issue with PAW as an example, the reason their is simple, it is because they would be paying a higher CPA.

So I think the answer would be no. The rooms know that when you sign up with a service like their's part of what you are getting is the grooming from the master affiliate.

If you are referring to using your codes and their software I can't speak for them but I would think no. Let me see if I can get you an email.

I don't think there is a problem if you are already signed up at a program. For example: When I first started promoting Full Tilt, they only give 25%mgr starting out and Nell told me that I should use a sub affiliate to do rakeback and not lose money.

Also, I don't see why this would matter to a Poker room if you are doing rakeback. The problem with PAW is that they are paying a high CPA to PAW and their affiliates, so that is an issue.

Beanie is right though, as far as systems it's all according to what you are trying to achieve.. I have several sites, I do most of them as direct Rakeback, but I needed something like Beanie's system (Which is good) or the PAS system (which is good).

One of the great features of Beanie's system is that if you only want to promote UB or FT, then you can do that, where as with PAS you pretty much have to promote all the rooms on their system on your site.

Long term though, you really won't become a huge affiliate by subing for rakeback because you are losing at least 3% to whoever your subing under. Plus you are losing any power you might have with the poker rooms to negiotiate bigger/better deals.

Rakeback Manager really isn't my system. For a long while I tried to aid people in their relationship with rakebackmanager and provide them links but I have just found that it is better for them to talk directly, just leaves one person out of the mix and frankly I am not that adept at tech stuff.

For the record and for any PAP members, Beanie is one of the most reputable people to work with in the rakeback area of this industry. He has been around since the inception of rakeback and I would personally recommend him to anyone.
