Well this section of the forum is set up for "poker affiliate deals & promotions." That's exactly what Shaun's post was. Those of us who consider this "spam" or otherwise don't want to read this sort of thing can pretty easily avoid this section of the forum I'd presume

Naturally people like Shaun aren't here for their health or anything and it's their job to promote their deals and while there are certainly standards of conduct that must be followed, I can't imagine how this post of his would violate them. I'm not interested at all in this deal but I don't want to presume that this being the case no one else would be either. Maybe someone wants the free $10 even. So we really shouldn't get too bent out of shape to try to flame members who may actually be providing information or offers that some people may actually find useful, but I doubt that many find these fist fights useful, although I could be wrong there

Once again, if you think this stuff is spam, I guess you don't have to read the post, and as long as these posts are clearly marked in terms of their subject I don't see any problem with this stuff. Having said that, you could have chosen a better title for this than PAP vs. CAP which really gives the reader no idea of its content and thus doesn't give them the information they need to decide whether to read it or not.

3. PAP has like 10 active members now, CAP has hundreds..

Did you actually think this through at all? We are in the AFFILIATE business, not the poker playing business. You need to really consider who you are trying to market too.
Why do you just come to PAP to post negative things? Why don't you TROLL PAL? Quit trolling here it's getting tiresome for real...

The registration is now open for the Clash of the forums. CAP are very keen to beat PAP. Do not let them show PAP up

Cheers

Hi guys,

Just wanted to remind you that today is the last day to sign up for the Clash of the Forums, so that you can demonstrate your poker skills and defend your forum's honor

Tomorrow we will credit $10 to all the accounts that have already signed up to Pay No Rake (plus any others that sign up today) and used sign up code PAP.

Between January 2nd and 3rd (Eastern time), generate all the rake you can and win a $1,000 freeroll for your forum and your players!

Good luck!

Default Clash Of The Forums

Hi Guys

Firstly happy new year to all.

I would like to thank all those involved and that participated in the Clash of The Forums event over the holidays, the turn out was better than expected!

So which forum really does have the best poker players????

PAP??CAP??A4U??

Well the wait is over, the players that generate the highest average rake are from PAP, and the players that generate the most rake in the time period was NPFcarlito.

Congratulations to both PAP and NPFcarlito.

As promised, the $1,000 freeroll for the winning forum and the affiliates players:

Tournament Name: Poker Pro
$1000 Freeroll
Time/Date: 3pm EST/ Jan 31st 2009
$1000 prize pool,
Top 40 paid

To gain entry you must have 10 black pearls in your account, this is the buy in to the freeroll.

The affiliates that took part have been credited 10 black pearls to their accounts. If you would like to take part in the $1,000 freeroll, please open an account at www.PayNo Rake.com and use the sign up code WINNER; this will automaticly credit your account with 10 black pearls, which give you entry to the freeroll.

If you would like to offer the freeroll to you players you can do one of two things
  • Contact me and I will arrange for you to have a sign up code exclusive to your site, which will track and credit the players to you
  • Get the players to open an account via your affiliate link and give them the sign up code WINNER which will credit them the 10 black peals.
Once again I would like to thank the affiliate community for your support in this event and I hope that 2009 is a profitable year for all.

Regards

Shaun O'Neill
