2008 Poker Conference Cyprus - Official Thread

I'm going.

I just booked yesterday, decided to use Miles, had a boatload of them anyhow.

50k miles = Roundtrip to Cyprus on most major airlines.

I also tacked 5 days on to the end of the trip staying at the Le Meridien Limassol Spa & Resort, just down the street using miles from my Starwood Amex Card.

If anyone else uses this card and has miles they have a special promotion called "Nights & Flights", for 70k miles, I got 50k miles sent to Delta & 5 nights in the hotel, pretty sweet deal.

Le Meridian is supposed to be very nice and only a 5 - 10 min walk from the event resort. We are trying to do a deal with them to get rooms there but they want us to pre pay and that is v expensive when you add up 100 rooms for 5 nights!!!

I can't wait now - So need some sun!

I'm skipping Amsterdam ;-(
as some other non poker work has stuck a spanner in my plans

but fingers crossed I'm going to be coming to Cyprus - for the poker conference bit

I dont think I can make all of spring break bit - long story but that weekend is going to be spent with a tent, rain (probably) and a bunch of kids hacking away on violins

It looks like the ASOP starts in the poker conference bit of the whole jolly - but (very hypothetical) when is the last day of the ASOP

this time I'm gona get through one of those damn online qualifiers - no more bubble boy for me ;-)

any dates for them yet ?

Everest and Affiliate Club are sponsoring the ASOP again so should be easy to sort out - I am also trying to organise more tables in Cyprus - A little bit difficult since no one seems to have any on the island, but hey ho, I am sure we will find a solution!!

Oh and also this time it will be a freeze out ending on the Thursday so 3 days

I will begin organising the free rolls in a couple of weeks - Cheers

Guys what a lot of people have done is buy a cheap return to London and then buy the onward trip seperately - the following companies fly to Cyprus from London - We are also looking at companies that fly from Amsterdam because we understand that is also a cheap hub for you to fly to. In addition Josh (Prime Gaming) said he always flys to Tel Aviv and then books a seperate flight to Cyrpus which is normally $200 - $300
