Some sort of an option.
As it stands right now obviously forum owners are inclined to support easy posting of YouTube videos on their forum because YouTube is the most popular and when someone visits a YouTube video they're not promoted all sorts of poker rooms.
I think PokerTube is a cool idea for a site, but unless I had some sort of involvement with them or they provided something of value I see no reason to support easily posting their videos on my sites because PokerTube.com is filled with all sorts of advertisements.
The same feelings about PokerTube would apply to any video site with similar ads.
On the other hand, PokerStars.tv, now thats something I could see supporting the easy posting of videos of if somehow it was somehow tied into the affiliate account. I realize though this is a major challenge and there are downsides and reasons not to do it, I just figured I would shoot out the suggestion.
How it could work there are so many options - perhaps just have it so if someone with with a PokerStars.tv affiliate cookie signs up for PokerStars.com it counts, perhaps if there is some other way like where if the person came from an affiliate it shows a PokerStars.com instead of .Net ad. I don't know how the PokerStars.net works but maybe they could come up with a way for affiliates to support it. Perhaps making it so players PokerStars.TV account, PokerStars.NET account and PokerStars.com account all shared the same username. When someone tries to register a tPokerStars.COM and they have a PokerStars.NET account it says, you've previously used this email address to sign up with PokerStars.NET or PokerStars.TV if this you....
At PartyPoker (not sure if it still is this way) when you signed up as an affiliate you could enter your PartyPoker username and password and it would populate the fields with your information.
Perhaps a PokerStars.TV account could work the same way. Or perhaps at PokerStars.COM sign up it would say have a PokerStars.TV or .NET account already, proceed here to quick sign up. This might be even easier to do for PokerStars.NET players signing up at PokerStars.COM because they could probably look for a registry key of .NET and show this option only to new sign ups to pokerstars.com who already have the .NET version.
I'm sure there are other possibilities as well. Basically the suggestion was considering ways affiliates might have an added benefit to support PokerStars.TV (which might or might not mean a way to support PokerStars.NET) because this is something many affiliates could certainly push and support giving PokerStars a lot extra exposure.
I also think there is big room in the market for a Poker Video
Network and having a big army of website with incentives to support it couldn't hurt any, I don't suppose anyways.
