Which rakeback site to promote?

Hi,
I'm interested in going into the rakeback business, and I wonder what rakeback poker rooms is converting well?

As I see it, it's mainly two types of rooms which will attract the majority of the visitors.

1. The rooms who offer high rakeback, like 50% which probably attract the pro players playing mid/low stakes.

2. Well known brands such as Full Tilt. Even though they offer rakeback below average this is probably one of the rooms which converts really good.

Is this correct? Is there other rooms who distinguish itself from the rest?

How is the players divided between these groups in the different markets, Europe, Scandinavia, Sout America etc.

I would really appreciate some answers here so I know how to approach the different markets and its players.

Full Tilt is a high converting room and as rakeback poker rooms go is often the best performer. Their brand name and their presence in the U.S. market makes it perform well for almost all affiliates. You will also learn that the mergins there are lower too. The lower percent rooms are almost always the bigger rooms which attract more new players through brand awareness and existing traffic.

The high percent rooms tend to be on smaller networks and often have little traffic. Players that play above $100 NL or any non holdem game will not convert at small rooms at all because there will be no available games in their limits. Players are not going to play at a room with a high percent if their games do not exist. Another thought is the smaller, higher % rooms will often not be PT or HUD friendly. This will also turn many pro high volume players away.

Anyone that is going into rakeback - are you guys already affiliates, and have been for awhile? Do you have money to invest, strong knowledge of SEO etc? Will you be able to get the best deals at rooms to compete with the highest rates right off the bat(not a huge deal with Poker Affiliate Solutions, but still something to think about). Do you have an established playerbase already? Will you be able to go after smaller niche markets, like have your site professionally translated into another language or something? Are you fine with receiving(depending on the room) a few percent of profit a month of total revenue, when you could be receiving 30%-50% instead?

Online poker is already very competitive. I'd say the rakeback market is the most competitive niche out there. Not wanting to discourage anyone, but making it in the rakeback market is very tough and you have to be fully prepared.
