Html to PHP?

I am looking at converting my site from html to php.. How will this affect my seo etc.? Does this help?

Page rank isn't my question. From what I've read and heard page rank does not equal good SE ranking. Right? I've seen several PR6 pages that are hard to fine on a SE 'cause it's buried so deep. even when searching for the optimized key words for that page/site etc.

Part of my problem is that I don't understand how php effects things.. I do know that it's more in depth than changing the .html to .php though.. I would think it's safe to assume that SE's do favor one over the other.. But, then again, I really have no idea...

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm asking the right question here... Am I making any sense?

yeah either way the guys over at the other thread were basically saying theres no difference at all really...

PR like you say means nothing, but i like you put this down to the search engines favoring .html but i quickly got put right by some of the SEO guys

PR is important. Throwing it away is like throwing away money.

You can rewrite URLs but that is tech stuff which someone else would need to explain.

I don't think this will improve your SEO, and if you don't know what you're doing, this might make it worse.
