Between the 'strong' and h3 (or lower - h4, h5 and h6) tags, which would give the most weight to the term within the tag from a SEO perspective?
I know that h tags should be used for headings, but would it be more worthwhile to put key terms in between h3 or lower tags instead of solely focusing on 'strong'. i.e. would it be beneficial to make the h3 (or lower) tags look like standard bolded text and put your key terms between them rather than 'strong' tags alone?
My impression is that Google rates header tags higher than content in strongtags, although I'd definitely wait for others to reply before taking my reply as read.
I just think that headers are liable to give a search engine a much better idea of what a particular section of content is about, as opposed to a handful of words in bold text.
If you can use all the h tags, you should try to do that. Doesn't mean you cant use strong and emphasis on your keywords as well. Just keep the latter tags to a minimum on each page so they will be seen as more important.
H tags have a diluted effect. H1 & H2 work well. Forget the rest unless it looks better. Bolding, italics and content will help you more than worrying about you Hormones.
